"The first thing I studied Rita Mulcahy’s PMP Exam Prep, Eighth edition as part of a local PMI chapter’s PMP preparatory course.  I enhanced and extended my studies by doing ordering and completing the PM PrepCast and purchasing the PM Exam Simulator.  Additionally, I subscribed to the PM Exam Formula Study Guide.  Of course, I also read the PMBOK, Fifth Edition..."
Please Share Your PMP Study Plan

I'm currently writing an article in which I address the question of how to create a PMP Study Plan. This will be an in-depth article in which we help current and future PMP candidates to develop a personalized approach to exam preparation.

As part of this I would like to be able to include a few samples of study plans from our students -- from you!

So my request to you is this: Have you developed your own "formal" PMP Study Plan or PMP Study Schedule? Maybe as an MS Excel document, as an online Google Doc or maybe even as an MS Project schedule? If yes and if you would allow me to share it as part of the article then I would love to receive a copy of the document.

Please either respond to this message and simply attach your document, or you can alternatively go to our forum and upload the document here.

You will receive proper attribution for sharing your file and a mention in the article.

Thank you so much and...

Until Next Time,

Lessons Learned from a PMP exam passer

His journey and lessons learned on becoming a PMP shared to us by Ishan Ja, PMP.

I started my PMP journey last year in September when I filled out the application. My application was selected for audit and the audit completed on October 15th. I had 1 year from 15th October 2014 to take the test. I didn’t really start my preparation until mid-march this year. I scheduled my test for 14th June in May and took the test yesterday and passed with 4 p and 1 MP (Closing)

To me the biggest challenge was concentrating while studying when I started. I realized the only solution is to just keep studying, it gets better in couple of weeks. I studied for 2-3 hours every day for around 2-2.5 months.

I used PMBOK, PM PrepCast and Rita for preparation and believe that PMBOK and any guide should do the trick.

I started with Rita first time and took me about 2 weeks, at this time I got the general idea about the course.
