PMP PDU Program Updates are Coming On December 1st 2015 |
Do you have a PMI certification like PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP or PMI-PBA? If yes, then this interview is extremely important to you because the rules on earning
PDUs are changing on December 1st, 2015.
In a nutshell: PMI is introducing the Talent Triangle, which has Technical Project Management, Leadership, as well as Strategic and Business Management on its three sides. Going forward you must earn PDUs in each of these three areas.
This interview with Victor Carter-Bey
(Director Certifications, PMI) was recorded at the 2015 Global Congress in Orlando Florida. We review the Talent Triangle, the details of what exactly changes with the PDUs, the timeline of implementation and how to report them going forward.

Hello,
I currently have a PMP certification which expires June 2016. And I have already earned 60 PDUs for its
renewal. I am also planning to appear for PMI-ACP this month.
So my question is, should I renew my PMP before I appear for the ACP exam or should I wait and synchronize both certifications and renew both of them together using the already earned 60 PDUs. Also is that a possible
scenario?
Greatly appreciate your help.
Thanks!

Everything You Need to Know About PDU Category A |
As the holder of a Project Management Institute (PMI) credential (except CAPM) you are required to earn a specified number of Professional Development Units to maintain that credential. PMI has developed six categories of PDUs in which one can obtain
credits. In this series of PDU Tips we review all six categories and give you our insights. We begin with PMI PDU Category A, “Courses offered by PMIs R.E.P.s or Chapters and Communities,” which is one of the three “Educational Categories.”
