My current PDU report shows that I need to report 8 pdus for each given area:
Technical Project Management Leadership Strategic and Business Management
Do you know how to earn PDUs for each of this
areas?
Do I need to buy professional trainings/conferences or are there free PDUs in each area available?
Thank you for your reply!

Recommended Podcast: Mastering Embedded Systems |
Following our recent podcast on how to manage virtual teams, we received the following message from Georg Lohrer and we'd like to recommend his podcast to you. Here is what he said:
Hi Cornelius,
I'm true follower of your podcast and I regularly do receive my news and information out of every episode. Today, with this episode, it might be the time for payback.
I'm working as a project-troubleshooter for more than seven years now. And I am working
in and with Virtual Teams since more than 10 years. I have led a Virtual Team of 13 persons spread all over the world (China, Croatia, Finland, India, Japan, Poland and the USA). All together we were scheduling more than 250 SW-developers.
As Jesse already mentioned there are a set of intrinsic problems when working with a distributed, so called virtual, team. Most of them can be resolved by
using technology, for example the collaboration issue. However I have made some real mistakes as I have started as a Virtual Team Leader.
To spread such experience I have launched midst of 2015 a podcast about Mastering Embedded Systems. It's an engineer's podcast with two major emphasis: The Project Management hat and the SW-/HW-nerds hat. Regarding Virtual Teams I have published My biggest (rookie) mistake as Virtual Team Leader. In this episode I tackle the four main
aspects when working together with Virtual Teams: Time Zones, Language barriers, Cultural differences, Behaving differences.

PMP PDU Program Updates are Coming On December 1st 2015 |
Do you have a PMI certification like PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP or PMI-PBA? If yes, then this interview is extremely important to you because the rules on earning PDUs
are changing on December 1st, 2015.
In a nutshell: PMI is introducing the Talent Triangle, which has Technical Project Management, Leadership, as well as Strategic and Business Management on its three sides. Going forward you must earn PDUs in each of these three areas.
This interview with Victor Carter-Bey (Director
Certifications, PMI) was recorded at the 2015 Global Congress in Orlando Florida. We review the Talent Triangle, the details of what exactly changes with the PDUs, the timeline of implementation and how to report them going forward.

Earn PDUs Whenever and Wherever You Go |
In our current series of PDU Tips we are exploring the many ways you can earn PDUs. Today we look at how you can gain PDUs even when you are on the move.
I speak
to a lot of PMP credential holders, and frequently they tell me that it is difficult to find the time to earn PDUs. As the last quarter before our Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) deadline approaches, PDUs dominate our minds, our conversations, and our spare time! But if you proactively plan, you can make the PDU procurement process much easier.
